I was out cycling today and managed to get really close to a Bald Eagle feasting on the remains of a road kill deer, and I had my good camera and 300mm lens. For some of you these fantastic birds are common, but for Northern Kentucky they are just coming back.

Nice pictures. Those are common around here because of the river. However, I never seem to have my camera ready like you did. Thanks for sharing.

:vulture:Great pictures, the bald eagles are making a come by in my neck of the woods. They are being spotted more often on the Trinity River here in Texas than anytime in my life. Nature is doing its thing again ......... once man stops getting in the way.

Absolutely Beautiful.............I have now been watching the 24/7 Eagle cam @ Berry College in Rome Georgia. The mated pair on the campus there are prepping the nest they have used for 3 years, as the female will be laying her eggs sometime in late December or early January. Their 24/7 nest cam also has sound. They have fledged 5 in the last 3 years from that nest.

They have been thriving here too for awhile now. Not a whole lot of them but they are here.

Awesome pictures. We have lots of them around here but I would never be able to get photos like that.
