I modified my splitter so that I can use it on the covered patio when it's raining. The exhaust is vented up above the roof edge. Tried it the other day and it worked well. That's where I'll be splitting today. Have close to a cord of rounds sitting under there too, so the wood won't be wet either. I'll need to move more rounds in there when I'm done because it's going to rain again tomorrow and I don't want to split no soaking wet wood...soup does sound good on a day like today though.
Great idea but it won't work for me because I am the splitter! However, I'm sure there times my wife would like to put a pipe in me and vent me outside!
