Yea , time for a little break
Wife said OK to take a day or 2 off.
Taking the weekend off from the woods, to rest up.

Hope weather hold out so I can get a few more loads.
Had my eye on a few trees I think I can get the atv close to.

    50% chance of rain today.

Just a one man crew, me.
No one I know is crazy enough to do that much work for firewood.
I lift it 3 times just to get it home.
(into the atv trailer, into the big trailer , off load at home)

    Yea
Will service all the equip when done.
The big puddle gets most of the mud off the tires, after it the trail is sand/gravel
last load I back up a few times to wash some of it off.

Will walk around & kick the tires on stuff today.
Having a fuel issue with the atv, something is plugging the fuel from the tank.
Think there's a screen filter in the tank, have to blow back thru the line every couple days to clear it.
Will take the full tank out this winter & check it out.
Switching between "reserve" & "on", seems to get me thru the day.

    No
Chain saw & cant hook are my weapons.

But I can see where some sighting of "Big Foot" came from
When standing straight at you, at first glance, looks like a tall big eared critter eying you.
Gives the heart a few extra beats

Think we are getting used to each other by now.
They & me are more relaxed around each other.

Not seen any bear sign, but for sure, they are around.

Bogydave, tell me about the land on which you are cutting; is it yours or do you cut by permit on public lands of some kind?:sherlock:

Well, I hope the ATV holds out for you.
Would probably suck to have to stop what you're trying to do and tear that thing apart

Well, the price is right even with ATV time.

Pleasure viewing yours pics sir and seeing the fruits of your labor-I cut today, last before December as our rut is not far away. Been cutting all day but did take time to place a new trail cam out in front of a new set I hung on Tues.---Post pics later. Again, thanks for sharing.

Ive run into many animals in the bush here but the only one that has put me to running was moose! Once one sent me running back down the trail and another pushed me up a scree slope on the side of a mountain. Its amazing how big they are especially when they are bearing down on you!

That still had to be a long day of cutting Dave. You deserve the weekend off.

That would make me uneasy with the atv fuel problem. Would not be good to get out there and have it quit on you. No, that would not be fun.

    Yea, good point.
Maybe I should drain the tank & give it a look see.
Was gonna try a ride but it got windy & chance of rain increased.

My least favorite part also. I fell em and buck em but when I get to the little stuff I just leave em. My sister steps in to cut up the tops, stack the twigs, stack the sticks and stacks the rounds. I don't see much sense in stacking things that will be trailered out in a few days but she likes the job. I also see no sense in arguing about it.

Dangling a leafy branch in front of a moose while perched on his back? I get the picture. I'll go second.
