out of the woods today, this was from some cutting I did this spring. I still have another load of Beech back in the woods I'll get before Wednesday. We still have some nice Cherry back in the woods from some cutting I did in the spring.
I'm still working hard at getting all my Spring cutting split and stacked. Other than a few trees I have to drop for a friend I probably won't do much cutting and hauling home until mid winter. In all honesty I could just take this year off but probably won't......I like being out there too much.
Nice work. Gotta get as much as possible. I'm waiting for my kids to finish their sports next week and then I have to help a friend that hired a tree company to take down 9 monster trees, looks like about 20 cords that have to be split. I told him to buy a splitter and I'll bring my over so we can bang it out. I'll take pics once I get there in about 2 weeks, can't wait
The first step towards recovery is admitting you have a problem. I AM A FIREWOOD JUNKIE! Whew, I said it, now I have to find a support group. Oh right, that's this site.
I took a ride on all but two areas of our property today, all the trails are wide open so unless we get some high winds, I won't be doing much trail work. I do need to do some chipping so I can level out my next stacking area and then I'll start filling it up with what we have around the house, we do have some nice Cherry and Red Maple back in the woods that will come out before winter. I finally covered the rest of our wood for this year, just two stacks which equal 1.22 cord or 4 NY face cord. We're still burning a Hemlock until the weather turns cold.
That's great you don't have to do much trail clearing. Looks like most of the leaves are down too. Get some wood cut before snow piles up!
Yup. Same off and on here. We went to Watertown in AM. It cleared off this afternoon while I took a nappy wappy.
