First time since I had a accident last month when I cut my knee open.
Cutting wasn't by choice and I didn't have chaps yet. Haven't had the extra funds to buy them so I have not been doing any cutting

But my parents hired a tree service to take out some trees 12 in all mostly locust and elm along with some other extremely full of limbs tree. Small to almost medium size trees again full of limbs They was close to utility lines so they opted to have someone cut them in case something happened To which I agreed

The owner of said service agreed to cut down the trees and chip up the brush and cut the wood into manageable pieces for $350

Well he cut the trees down and ended up dropping a couple on my parents deck Made a damm mess is what he did. Cut all the trees thenleft said he would return the next day to finish up Next day cams he showed up 20 min till dark.

My dad told him it was a little late to be using a saw with low light. the guy stated he and his crew would be back the next day to finish but it was going to cost more because he undestimated how much brush there was. To which my dad said no it be the price they agreed on.

Several days go by and he shows up alone again at dark and my dad paid him the agreed price and sent him down the road

So now my dad who has double knee replacements and needs a hip replaced as well had a huge mess in his yard. Rain coming for sat. Tree on the deck. Just a freaking mess. I don't know if I'm more pizzed that he paid the sob for the work that wasn't performed or the fact that the sob was trying to milk them for more money.

Well anyways I ended up cutting it all up. Didn't really want too considering it was like spaghetti the clown dropped the trees on top of each other. So had several that was under tension. I did manage to do it without cutting myself. But no more cutting for me till I have chaps for sure. I was very aware of what I was doing today. But it had to be done

Did feel good to run the saw though

Glad you got that "spaghetti" cleaned up safely, That is the most dangerous kind of cutting there is. Just so much brush to catch the bar tip, and to trip over and lose your balance when cutting. Scary stuff right there. Have a friend at camp that wanted six Spruce trees cut down out back his of site, His plan when I went over to cut them for him was to drop all six on top of each other and then we can cut them up. I said we drop one at one time, limb it, buck it up and remove the logs. Then we do the next tree after all the brush is removed.

That's what I told my parents too. And no offense to any of the older crowd but damm they so hard headed sometimes

My dad justification for was he just wanted him gone and no trouble to which I can agree too to a extent but the benefit of being younger is I could have stomped the ole boy into the ground had he got smart with me trying to get more than he quoted

    Nuts!

No way would I have paid what was agreed. After all, he did not finish and you did not mention anything about him repairing the deck.

On the other hand, it is good that it did not bother you running the saw. You'll be fine.
