I used to have Araucana chickens that laid blue and green eggs so I could have my Dr. Seuss "green eggs" all the time. It was a big hit with my kids and their friends when they were little. I don't keep chickens any more so I have to improvise these days! Add some well done toast (NY style onion rye today) and there you have it ................ the breakfast of champions! (Boog Powell, 1970 AL MVP, I bet he would have loved these! )
I'd have to ask my wife what they are, but we've got chickens that lay those green/blue eggs. I was thinking of doing eggs and ham Saturday morning. Now I'm hungry again, and I just had 2 soft tacos.
The must be all/part araucana. Its a genetic mutation in the breed that causes the blue and green eggs. Tacos ....................... now you got me hungry again!
