.....and so far I'm really happy with it! Went looking for the CS330T, ended up coming home with a CS355T instead. Out the door for $410.00 tax included. Not bad for a 38.5cc top-handled saw. Gonna put it through its paces up in several trees this week and weekend.....stay tuned....

Yes a local shop, cwn877's pap has bought several Echo top handles at that shop and has had great luck with them...I personally used one of his CS330T's at his farm when we took down an old English walnut tree several years ago and I was happy with the way it performed and felt in the tree. The local dealer didn't have any 330's in stock but did have this 355, so we worked the price a little and it came home with me....lol

That's about half the price of a comparable stihl , isn't it ?

I'm real tempted to get one of those Echo's, the Timberwolf I think it's called. I just need to bring my 'ol 044 with me to see how much lighter the TW is. I'm looking for a little weight savings while still having a someballs, mostly for small trees up to about a foot and for limbing. It might be too big? I keep hearing good things about Echo $aw$ + $aving $$

Exactly. Which is another reason I bought it. I have a hard enough time taking a 410 dollar saw up in a tree, let alone an 800+ dollar saw!!

Sounds like a good deal on the saw! Will be watching for the reviews to see how you like it.

How about a Husqvarna 545? A few more beans than the 590 but much lighter and better suited to your purpose IMO.

I've looked at the Echo's and almost pulled the trigger on one last year. Good friend really likes the several he has...he's on here but haven't seen him post in a long time. Big Frank

cwn877 and his family have a whole gaggle of 'em. He and his grandpa swear by them, and I know firsthand how much his.pap beats on those top-handled saws. He puts them through the wringer and keeps buying new ones...
