Friend helped me put a rack together using pallets and T-posts. I have about a cord split on the small one and yesterday the same friend helped me convert another pallet rack by adding T-posts and pallets on the ends. That one is for piling rounds until I get time to split. Had a couple of popple trees down across my path in the woods so got them cut and brought back to see if the new wood rack would hold them. I have some oak rounds still needing to be split. DSC01535.JPG DSC01534.JPG It is super dry in the woods. We could use some rain to lessen the fire danger.

I will get it split next spring and put into my wood shed. It should last until then.

I use pallets as you as well. I have access to very large ones at work and usually go 16'Lx5'Wx6'H giving me roughly 3 cords. I also have made some using cinder blocks, landscaping timber and 2x4 thanks to HDRock posting pics. I suck at cribbed ends so don't bother with em.

Steel T-posts and pallets over them work great for the ends. Cribs are those things you put babies in to sleep:hair:

So true! Many use t posts, thewoodlands for one. Our area is boulder strewn (rocksylvania) making it a pain to try and drive anything in the ground.

    Excellent Eric B.
I use hogwire fencing on 3 sides on my palletts.

Ya, I'm always giving thewoodlands trouble for using t-posts. I tell him those were made for building fences, not stacking wood.

Trees keep falling down and taking down the fences. Gotta find a new use for the t-posts. No livestock to keep in check.
