Aren't these 2 the same? If so, Lowes seems to always have cheaper prices...

Shop Simpson Dura-Vent Stainless Steel 1-ft Section Pellet Stove Pipe at Lowes.com

DuraVent PelletVent 3 in. x 12 in. Double-Wall Chimney Stove Pipe-3PVL-12 - The Home Depot

The one from Home Depot says 'double wall' but I assume the one from Lowes is also double wall. EDIT: yep, the description says double wall.

I need to get a 12-inch pipe to replace the rise I have outside and convert or go to a straight out pipe system, so I need to add an extra 12-inch pipe outside and place the cap at the end.

    Whats the numbers on yours?

HD's is the newer pipe PL and Lowes is the generic AC version which is found in the kit boxes. Both will connect, But they won't seal as well when you mix and match. But I guess its fine if its outside??

Personally I wouldn't buy pipe from the big boxes it 's not the pro Vent with the gasket built in ,you get what you pay for in this case . For my own piece of mind I spent the $$ for the good stuff

Yep, But I don't think Geek has the PVP(pellet vent pro series) pipe. I think his is the standard PL IIRC. Those 2 don't mix..........

PVP only mixes with the corn style pellet vent, But even then they don't guarantee they will seal correctly.

Should be on the tee. Some of the pipes had them, But being outdoors they don't last long.

You have the older AC pipe.

AC3012(from Lowes) will work just fine.

Jay, so I assume I have same type of pipe inside.
Inside it is a corner install and has a 90 degree elbow.
Since I will haul this stove outside for the first time since install, should I not worry about changing all pipes for something better?
If I should take the opportunity to change the pipes, what type and where's a good place to get them?
All pipes 3" and regular stainless steel color.
I will haul outside this Thursday.

I would take em a part and have a look see, But they should be just fine. I've seen these last 10 seasons with no issues. About all you'll need to do is reseal them joints so they don't leak on ya.

Looking at the inside it looks like I have either a 6-inch or 9-inch pipe connected to the stove, then the 45 elbow and guess another 1 footer going out. If there's no such a thing like a 9-inch pipe then it has to be 6-inch....cannot tell with all the foil tape around it...

That's probably the Appliance adapter, which is about 6" total in length.

But its cheap and available almost everywhere. Tried getting ICC for a bud, Not one shop in my area carried it. So he opted for readily available stuff. And 4 tubes of sealant!! ;)

Here's a couple pics, I was in a rush and couldn't remove all foil tape, is the appliance adapter really 6 inches?

I want to replace them all and would like to have a ready list by tomorrow to go to Lowes and get them.
From the 45-degree elbow, I think it may be a 1-foot going out, then the rise. If this is correct, I can replace that 1-foot with a 2-footer straight out and then a cap. Thoughts?
