Got our first touch of frost on the roofs around here today. Supposed to upper 20's over the weekend. I think we all know what that means....time to start drinking less IPAs and more dark beer.

Planted some late grass seed, had no other choice but to wait until last Sunday. Guess what the forecast calls for? Overnight lows dipping below 30F next Sunday. I really hope I get these things to take root, it will be a long messy fall without grass back there.

I'm headed to the woods with the boys Saturday morning. Leaves have barely started turning here, let alone falling. Going to be hard to see anything.

9 and 10. We're going hunting for tree rats. They'll be trigger pullers this year. We've been working on how to walk through the woods quietly, stop, look, listen for a couple years now and they have that down pretty good.

The squirrels are cutting on walnuts pretty hard right now...haven't moved onto the acorns yet.

    ^ great combo.

The best part of the day is at sunset when the geese fly low just over the trees to land at the reservoir a short distance away.

The secret to really good BBQ chicken pizza is to put little chunks of cream cheese on it under the mozzarella. Sounds a little weird but, trust me, it is great.

The local flatbread place uses goat cheese, no mozz. It is pretty ok. The texture is different.

Goat cheese dip at the local Mexican place is the best.

Took the kayaks to my buddies lake house today, beautiful day for it. Lots of beer consumed and I just lit a fire 30mins ago, man wood heat feels nice but not like 85 and sun on your skin

A pizza shop I once frequented used provalone cheese, nothing else. It went perfect with their sauce. There pizza had a very good flavor.

Caffeine going in, shorter work day today. A quick appointment and then home to cut grass at camp. Then take the wife out to dinner.

Time for the two of us to have some down time. :dancer:
