We had to turn around as one of the wild fires in the state had US highway 83 shut down as smoke made visibility 0 and flames leaped across in what looked like the bowels of hell. Didn't gawk and take pics as it was not the time. No measurable rain in over a month and 70 MPH winds was the perfect scenario for disaster.
Stay safe!! How close is fire to your house? Do you need things packed to evacuate? I went through wildfires in 2012. Scary chit for sure, and very dry for October out here.
My place is safe but I was out hunting in south central ND and felt bad for those effected with evacuation and loss of property and the firemen in gear at almost 90ยบ days.
