YES! But its OK, Boat is ready to get winterized and we'll start the winter prep on the vehicles next weekend. Gutters and then do the leaf's. Then I'm hibernating like STB!!

Had a great last day on the lake. Didn't catch much, But we ripped around and watch some boat launch follies! Really fun watching the folks who only load them once a season. Specially them big azz pontoons which are a PITA to load!!

Joey nipped 65 MPH GPS speed, Almost! Well try again come spring with a tad less gear and he'll have it!

STB hasn't been able to hibernate since the pellet roaster was installed, before that I actually could hibernate. Might get to hibernate this winter by doing in a 'saur or two instead of my pellets. Everything is ready to go.

A word of advice to you who are in the throws of or will shortly be looking at bills from xyz school, remember if they don't have any of their skin in the game you are pouring your $$$ and your skin down the black hole, likely without any return.

I paid my own way, and even then I may have come pretty close to getting no return :drunk:

I see, you studied beer drinking? Brewing man, brewing, not drinking provides a decent return :dex::picard::whistle::pete::drool::cheers:

Kinda rough for a guy who doesn't press his own cider.

The mashing went easy. Using a bucket and a 2x4 actually worked really well. The whole family got in on it. The pressing....that was a whole other thing. If i decide to make large quantity's I'm thinking a better and or bigger press is in order. We had trouble with it this one. Additionally, this pass we used some cheesecloth we could find quickly so not ideal stuff. Ordered some nylon bags and see if that helps smooth out the operational difficulties.

Now you understand why I don't press my own cider.

I can take all the apples I can scrounge to a place a bit south of here and use a large press that all you do is load the apples, press a button and fill several bottles at a time, however I usually go up to Apple Acres and buy several gallons at the end of season, along the way to there I stop for a rather large dose of fried seafood washed down with a Tuckerman's. At the place that allows one to use their press it is $5.00/gallon to use their press.

True, But we'll have to wait for spring. We are getting it ready for the _ _ _ _ _ _(the bad word inserted here)!!

With all the issues with the pump gas(ethanol).......... we might get some good ol race gas. One of the stations near us has some and does not contain any of that crap! Marine engines aren't require to have ethanol like road use vehicles nor do they like it much, But not many places have ethanol free anymore. My first few tanks were ethanol free and that when she ran the best. Pricey, But for as much as we burn. Its not that bad compared to all the issues we will avoid!!

Will likely leave the boat in until at least mid November. Usually don't pull until the shore ice threatens to grow into ice. Some of our best fishing has been Thanksgiving weekend.
