    Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. We are going wood cutting this morning while the turkey cooks. Looks like it will be a nice day. Brings to mind the old hymn "Praise God, From Whom All Blessings Flow". I think I will be humming that for most of the day.

    Lukem, I hope you have that fire man. It feels good, as you know. We supposedly are going to have 29 Deg. coming this Saturday night. I finally did all the cleaning and fired up the boiler the other day. The latest I've waited to heat with wood in a long time.

    Did someone say something about days off?
    yeah 7days off starts tonight :D...sort of gotta go in for few hours and hold some hands for a 230kV breaker test mid week.
    Weather is supposed to be beautiful this week 70's/80's with cool nights. Stack wood, drink beer, kayak & fish a bit. GF has made a good start on clearing the woods on one side of the drive - she's a keepah;)

    I'll snap some pics of the driveway clearing in the morning, she's made some really nice progress - it's been 5-6yrs since we cleared it last just makes everything look neater coming up the drive.

    Went firewood gathering. Pics to prove it. Came home to the turkey done and smelling deeeelicious. Spent the afternoon relaxing while Campinspecter did laundry and ran the boiler. He will deliver the wood to Mom's tomorrow.

    The wood is old growth Douglas Fir.

    Came home to the colours of fall on our street. The maples down where we were gathering wood are starting to show their yellow but with brown around the edges.
