Thanks rdust but we have plenty of other wood yet. This is just part of it and it is very dry. Mostly ash with some oak and elm mixed in.
Out of curiosity why burning that stuff early when you have other dry stuff. to reduce the handling? I know, you just want to be like the rest of us and actually have to clean your stack one in a while.
Lazy. I haven't been able to do any stacking this year due to some surgery and very slow healing. So I thought, why not bring a little into the shed and stack it there? It was wet because we had some recent rains and lots of fog. However, it will dry out just fine. The rest of the wood we move into the barn will be from older wood that has been stacked a few years.
I figured, sure understand you taking a little short cut this time. Nice pics too, trees are really turning by you. We're a bit behind you.
Funny. Trees here are turning fast but once we leave home, there doesn't seem to be much color except in a few spots. Think I'll stay home.
Trees seem to be a little later turning around these parts than other years. Saw snow this weekend that fell on Mt. Washington and the other high ridges, it's coming!
Gotta feel pretty good to Be outside & getting to work on the wood piles Real good medicine !! Great pics Hunting season soon?
