I know the mortar isn't pretty. And the block is all sorts of multicolored but the anchor plate is anchored down. The seams are all siliconed shut. First fire this evening. I know the manual says 250 then cold. But it's been holding 350 for the past 3 hours. Come on tomorrow morning so I can get the second firing underway.
Hey I like the look of that stove - exactly same color as ours. Can't quite see in the pic, ash pan or not? Our burn-ins took a few more mild burns than I expected, but it got there. It's a pretty big heavy unit, ain't it?
You'd better not be burning "number 2" in that stove! That might stink a bit! Sorry, goofy humor, but couldn't resist.
Congrats chance04 on your new stove! Nice looking hearth too! BTW which stove do you own? If you update your signature it will save answering the same question..
LOL Wow I couldn't tell from that viewpoint.. Had no idea now if I had a side profile I would known..
Black on black. Like a proper woodstove should be lol. We Are currently at 500 on burn 2. I can't smell so this is only a heart experience for me
