    As the resident humorist; could you just see it now?

    Pilot 1: "Hey, what's this button do?"

    Pilot 2: "No, no. no! That's the one that releases the hook!"

    Pilot 1: "oops."

    *sounds of stove crashing to the ground*

    :rofl: :lol:

    Bad part was, that happened right smack dab in the middle of the cold war. and it happened in the south; could you imagine the fear? :startled: Oof. Couldn't even imagine. :picard:

    So, they say it is "Out for Delivery." The same says that they will call to arrange for delivery.

    I wonder what will happen, nobody has called me, and nobody is home? I hope to not find it at the end of my drive, on this the first day of rain in weeks ...

    I am guessing they will call for another attempt to deliver?

    Greg

    Edit: I called the 800 number, and apparently it is "out for delivery" to the local company who will in turn do the final delivery to me.

    Oh well, all I am going to do with it this winter is drool over it, while my Allnighter keeps me warm. We'll install it in the spring, there are higher priorities right now, like the uninsulated South wall.

    Forgive me, for I have sinned, in thought even though not yet in deed.

    But this house is going to get mighty cold soon if I don't get that wall back together (about 40 feet of uninsulated wall, no drywall or siding). It has that "authentic" Tyvek look.

    Moose. Store the stove, the Allnighter worked before and the new one will be there when you are ready :)

    The view when I got home from work today ...

    :ups::rootintootin:

    The wife says it was a piece of cake (getting it into the truck at curbside). No damage in shipping.

    It is now sitting on the floor of my garage.
