It's been awhile guys. Just thought I throw up my wood burner set up on line after all the updates and renovations. Scott used to like to see to pics. NC 30 install thanks to the forum.
That's cozy looking. Kind of place that invites friends to gather and enjoy a root beer or something. Now, where do you live again? Heheh.
Thanks Guys! The bar is made out of rough cut from a farm just up the road from us. Slab top came from there too!
Great lookin' set up you've got there! Oldhippie - Good to see you around, hadn't seen you around lately, was beginning to wonder about you. But figured you've been out on the bike... Take care...
Yep, I'm back... that's exactly where I've been. It's been a very busy Spring/Summer riding season and I get pulled in a lot of different directions. Just cussin' out the Red-Sox takes up a good amount of my time every day. ...and then cussin' out Rodger Goodell and his NFL lawyers took up another hour. You can't get rid of me that easy. It's too much fun here. Got the wood stacked and I'm ready for the winter, but I had knee surgery this July, just meniscus surgery but it's going to put a cramp in my skiing so you'll prolly have to put up with more of me.
It is a basement install. There is a pellet eater upstairs on the opposite side of the house that we had installed first. The 30 will heat the whole house during power outages, just the 30 alone will keep the upstairs 65 ish as there is an oversized stair way. I am putting a return duct in our kitchen area that'll drop cold air back into downstairs hallway. I'm hoping this will increase heating efficiency by creating a loop rather than the exchange that occurs on the stair way.
Rather then trying to run the 30 to heat the whole house I run a balance of both stoves I've found it to be the most balanced and efficient practice.
