Nice bud. Never watched that much TV so we cut the cord about 6 month ago. On the occasion we do want to see something it's almost always on the internet.

The nearest cable service is 3 miles away. I did the satellite thing years ago. I've heard it's come a long way in term of performance, but once bitten, twice shy. I used an air card for cellular data after I abandoned HughesNet, but that's so stinking expensive these days that I can't justify it.

I use a wireless ISP now, and the performance is OK during the day but it gets dog slow at night. All us poor souls here in the Bermuda Triangle of technology are competing for what little bandwidth they have for us.

Just did a speed test and I'm pulling down 190kbps, and upload of 105kbps. All that performance for only $50/month.

I'm hoping I can convince AT&T to take my money.

I finally got the pic to upload to show my blazing fast one bar of 3G speed.

The easy answer for me is pretty simple. Move. :)

I had to put a repeater in to get cell service. It works pretty good, I get 4g most of the time.

That's with a Wilson cellular repeater with yagi antenna outside and a flat panel inside.

I live in the land of the dammed as far as technology goes.

The auger motor is making a racket on my Harman, might have to take it apart again. Last time the drive was grease deprived from running away in all corners. The motor is sometimes slow on take-off and needed the bearings lubed. My to do list tomorrow:headbang:

I have been hearing an auger noise like dusty auto breaks squeeking. Hoping that that it's fines or something else that can be fixed with the overdue 1 ton cleaning this weekend.....

If you have good line-of-sight for the install, I've used these in the past with excellent results:

I did the same thing with older technology for my elderly neighbor at my previous residence. There I had DSL, and we rigged a wifi amplifier and I gave him my WEP code for for access and I was happy to do it.

    Very cool, WW.

Up until a few years ago we were in a technology 'twilight-zone' here also, Ice Storm of '08 destroyed main Cable TV feed / infrastructure in town, Cable Company bailed out. (shaking head). In went DirecTV. When Verizon sold out to FairPoint Communications (phone company), as part of the deal they pledged to bring DSL to town, to their credit, they did.

Cell service here is spotty, at best, wireless internet the same, dunno if they are even still providing since DSL arrived here.
