Had a beetle killed SYP other side of driveway I've been wanting to take down.... Had about a 3-4' window between another pine and some hickories - everything was going as planned until an oak branch guided Pine #1(furthest away in pic #1) into pine #2.... after screwing around for a bit getting it rocking, decided pine #2 had to go as well too dangerous to get it off the stump They landed within inches of intended location but pine #1 pushed #2 further left than expected - still missed powerlines by ~8' There is substantial difference in weight between the two's rounds, and will be good candidates for SBS kiln experiments
These pics are after I was already tuckered out and put everything away, froze my azz in the pool etc... I'll pose her tomorrow - it's faster in green pine than the beetle killed stuff by ~0.3sec/round side-by-side plastic pallet wrap kiln - thinking about stacking near the road, people shouldn't mess with it if it's wrapped

Finally got it split since it stopped raining this morning. Rounds on the left from the dead pine already had the bluing, most of the bark came off during splitting. Got a bunch of fatwood from the stump cut.
Looks great and a fair amount of wood too! What's the plans for that fatwood? Splitting it for kindling?
I would. Oh wait, no, I wouldn't. That would be a bad-doobee, instead of a good dobee. Remember that....anybody? I'd take it if offered though.
Yeah I'll work it down a bit more, stuffs way too resin soaked almost translucent. it'd be like putting gas soaked split in the stove.
