LOL - I'm sure they appreciate the improvement in air quality. Looks like a steam locomotive stack, cool.

Well, sanded the rust and painted the outer fire box today. Removed the outside cap and the exhaust plug behind the ash pan. Thought about a test fire but decided against it-I did run Test mode and all the fans/motors seem to be working OK.

I'm at work, and ready to crack open a 5th of Scotch.. eesh. :D

Pellet Boss reports stove is consuming pellets wonderfully, and we are on the 2nd bag here, so far.

I'd say on my 10th:( but the plastic container holds 4 bags and it's still untouched. So around 6-7 bags, stove is staying on 24 hrs now with no decent weather in the forecast:doh:

We place 2 bags of pellets upright on the hearth a safe distance from the stove, 1 open, 1 on-deck, 10 stored in the mud room, the rest outside.. The heavy-duty 32oz. stadium cups are excellent for scooping pellets - Patriots and Red Sox feed the stove here.

A 5 qt Behrens pail inside for ash cleaning, and a big ole' lobster /canning pot (picked up at some yard sale a million years ago) for outside ash storage in the wood shed.
