Took advantage of the sun popping out and the cool temps. Split some poplar down to kindlin pretty quick! Dawn did her precision stacking!
Thanks! The temps to work are perfect! Thanks! That rack of kindlin will get us through 1/2 of the season give or take. We will finish another rack some other day. That 4'x4'x18" rack took about an hour. We normally use twine and bundle it, but we decided that was an unnecessary step. We use the most kindlin during SS.
Good to hear. My Huskee is seized up. Hoping to get to it soon. Lovejoy coupler is what I was told when it happened a month ago.
Looks like a big pile of potato Stix. Man i love those things, now I'm hungry! Excellent stacking job!
"Looks like a big pile of potato Stix. Man i love those things, now I'm hungry!" ... ... Imagine that... a firewood hoarder thinking wood looks like food... what are the odds?
Impressive stack of kindling for sure WS! Nice job by you and Dawn.... I always seem to just last minute scrounge my kindling, I like you style much gooder!
Absolutely super cedars can do the trick! But kindlin is freeeee! And even though the oak is seasoned 2.5 yrs, it can still be a pain to light up quickly. Its nice to have on hand. Mainly SS stuff when there are many cold starts.
