Yeah, we are fine and insurance should cover and fix it all. Thanks for the kind words.

As long as you & the family are OK, that's all that matters....."things" can be fixed/replaced.

Glad everyone is OK Dex. Buildings can be fixed a lot easier than people can.

There are over 100,000 customers without juice this morning.

savemoney's street is without 'tricity as part of them, as is my BIL's place and my youngest daughter's.

Plenty of slip and slide up this way.

Holy crap Dex. This is the first I have seen this part of the thread. Glad everyone in your area is OK. Must have been scary for sure. Count your blessings this holiday

Seems that upper NH and mid-upper Maine got the brunt of the ice. We lucked out with just a few branches down in the area. Hope Savemoney bgets power back soon and all are OK.

Well most of the damage in Maine appears to be a bit away from the coast except for eastern Maine where the coastal counties got their clocks cleaned. I know that CMP's service area was doing quite well until late yesterday afternoon and then things sort of went to h e double in a hand basket.

Being one to be somewhat prepared I had a full tank of gas in the genny, 15 gallons in reserve, and a full tank in the car; along with 23 gallons of drinking water and a full bathtub for flushing; plus a good supply of food and brews. In short we could have lasted for a little while. I survived the great ice storm of '98 thus a slight clue have I.

Dexter has got to go underground or in the alternative lower his heat signature to help prevent such violent weather in his neighborhood.
