    You didn't get kc for rodent duty. But if I did get a cat it has to earn its keep just like my pup. She chased some strangers off the back fields of the propert last week. Good dog.

    My cat does earn her keep, she makes us smile and laugh, she even tolerates the toddler who will be two next month around turkey day.

    Sounds good to me. I have lived with some cats in the past and never much cared for 'em as a pet. Maybe cause I had to take care of them even though they were not mine. If I did get one it would be for rodent hunts but the visiting neighborhood cats (and possible the coyotes that come up close to the house) seem to be keeping them at bay. The colder weather may have them trying to find passage into the house I would imagine time will tell if a kitty is in our future.
