This is Bentley. Yellow lab, 3.75 years old.

He's not a hunting dog per se, since I don't hunt rabbit, but he flushes rabbits with a simple find the rabbit command.

He also knows how to trail deer.

This deer hunting season, I'm starting him on blood trailing. I can't wait.

This is my girl Rosie a couple of years ago on a nice wild rooster find on opening day with my old male backing her. She's going to be 6yrs old in January and I finished her AKC Master Hunter this spring:

Here is the male puppy I kept from Rosie's litter last year. His second hunting season is right around the corner and it should be a good one. Water retrieves at 11 weeks old:

And last year hunting season around 6mo old.....looking good and getting his education:

Another of puppy Rip last year on a good covey find in the thick stuff as the hunters try to get in position for a shot.

Hogs? Do they track hogs or follow a blood trail? That's sweet!

There is a method to the madness you find a dog that will go hunt a fresh track then they will run the pig until he fights and then we send the catch dogs in to grab an ear! Then you walk in flip the hog tie his feet up and take him out of the woods!

Yes they bay dogs wear cut collars and the catch dogs wear vests and collars. But they still get cut so we staple them back up let them heal and put them back in the game. The one that is cut is Jimbeaux that cut took 19 staples to put back together. He is good to go now! Back in the game!

Billy Bob my southern Kerr, natural born squirrel dog. Also excels at killing chipmunks, wood rats, mice - he dove under a piece of tin this afternoon flipped it over his head and pounced down on a field mouse. His rabbit skills are lacking been a few times I've had one freeze directly in front of him and he doesn't see them, he gets a few of the young dumb bunnies every spring though.
