I just posted a scrounge thread. My GF took my vehicle to work Sunday and I left two honey locust rounds in the back. We were texting and I asked if my trees were safe? She assured me they were. Upon her arrival home she asked if I was going to go check my babies (firewood). Playing along I jumped up and ran outside. Safe and sound they were. She then asked if I changed the diapers on my babies. Later on I figured I should unload em' the wheelbarrow was occupied so I told her I hope my babies have a hard head cause I was going to drop em on the head and roll em' around. Maybe even whack em some. She said I was nuts. Told her everyone on here admits we are somewhat nuts.. she proceeds to tell me well... Nuts come from trees and you guys/gals like trees so you must be partial nuts. Figured you guys would get a chuckle from all that.

No kids here so no stroller laying around. Forgot to add... At one point she asked if I heard that... Heard what?... I think one of your babies is crying.... Do you think they are cold? Should I give em a blanket or burn them?

The city actually does the chipping. Uses the mulch at city parks and I think sells 18 wheeler loads to neighboring cities. Aspludnh (sp) and one other large tree company are they only ones with chippers I know of.

Does that make grafting a branch onto a root the equivalent of using stem cells?

I think it was Saturday while I was on my way to pick girlie up. (We have lost 3 pets in 6 months). I loaded our yellow lab Buster into the front seat for a ride to pick up "Mama". His fat rear kept setting off the buckle belt dinger... The sight of him all buckled up with head way outta the window was a real head turner.

    I had a little nut-tree,
    by Roald Dahl

    I had a little nut-tree,
    Nothing would it bear.
I searched in all its branches,
But not a nut was there.

    "Oh, little tree," I begged,
    "Give me just a few."
The little tree looked down at me
    And whispered, "Nuts to you."
