I've had 2 and didn't like them. But they were 100% stock.

One was at my last GTG that would knock your socks off. I've since thought twice about that saw and was close to pulling the trigger on one not long ago.

I think it takes a solid 5-10 minutes for the exhaust to find its way out of a stock muffler.:loco:

Even stock, I liked the 361 but I admit it lacks that "animal" feel that it's bigger siblings had at the time. Spring AV, quiet, restrictive muffler.... Kinda like riding a Gold Wing to a Harley Davidson meet.

IIRC, you weren't all that excited about your stock 441C-M for similar reasons. Man, that Chimp does a nice job on those doesn't he? ;)

    Yeah he does...

The 361 muff is a totally different animal. The reason I never touched it.

Never ran a 361 but last winter I bought my first real Pro saw, a used 360. Was told it was rebuilt at some point. Ran it a few days and it ejected a wrist pin circlip, destroying the cylinder and piston. So in the course of rebuilding it I had the cylinder ported out a little, I did base gasket delete and muffler mod. Saw came with 18" rm chain. Ever since rebuild its been wearing 24" RS and man it was fun! I muffler modded the 660 and retuned it. It's definitely way stronger than the 360 but doesn't have the pep and response that the ported 360 has. I put the 24 on the 660 and put 18 back on the 360 so it doesn't have to work anymore lol. Both are great saws! The 360 isn't rough but the 660 is smoother I think mostly due to the torque it doesn't get bogged down in the cut even when you lean on it. I can push the 360 pretty hard though, even with the rakers tuned down pretty good on the RS chain. I definitely don't need the 660 but good luck getting it from me! Haha
