I can tell you a crime story from your neighborhood. Years ago my Aunt and Uncle lives in Pine Junction, on top of the Park/Jefferson county line. Their house was burglarized. The Jefferson county sheriff eventually caught up with the thieves. The county authorities made a deal with the perps that if they showed them all the houses that they burglarized they would go easy on them. So they drove around and my Aunts house was one of the one the houses that they pointed to. Trouble for the perps was that my relatives happened to live in Park county. The deal was with Jefferson county. The Park county prosecutor and judge didn't have to honor the deal.
Paul bunion -As I read that I thought you were going to say the perps turned out to be bears. There have been many huntin camps "broken" into by them thieves in black clothing. They good at findin food!
what a small world it is. Right after I got out of high school some buddies and I rented a house on Pima trail right off of 74 We used to go drinking at the Bucksnort saloon. Which is still there btw
Yes. Not a lot of folks wanting to break into things with them around. Many years ago some of the camps up where we use to hunt were often broken into by the Black Bears. It didn't matter to them if it was locked or not.
I went there once on one of my visits, I think it was in '86. We were climbing down the way and stopped in after for a few. Interesting place.
I took my wife to the bucksnort for lunch one Saturday afternoon. She had never heard of the place so we rode the bike up for a quick burger.
