    Nice! Love the custom art
Huh? 14 cords in your old stove? Sounds like some serious inefficiency, or really large house!
I personally think that actual draft readings (high and low) are responsible for many stove problems...and usually overlooked

Yeah and that's conservative... in an englander nc-13. had to fill every 2 hours at 3 it was out and cold... That was 85% sugar maple... house is multiple split levels and vaulted ceilings.. but I think your right I have crazy draft!
Thanks.. The 2 maple leaves on top, daughter, ten years old, wants to paint next year cause..... I need 1 more year of art daddy to be really good..?;)

I did in February but Nc-13 manual said not to.... Chimney is close to 30 feet.. house sits on windy hill 2 miles from Lake Champlain... Lived here for 11 years can count days on 1 hand could not put up a kite:eek:

I hope to do it right manual, I know I actually read those, says " a series of small to moderate fires" so letting this one die out.. kindling and 2 small splits. Wait til it cools (the hard part wait:headbang:) as soon as it does will start another small. I figure 5 small to medium should season it... If I am wrong.. Pleas speak up!
