Our youngest daughter is getting married near the end of next month. I don't know if I'll get through all this. Let's just say I won't be visiting her in laws anytime soon. :) And because I have nothing nice to say I'll just end here.

If my wife and I get through this we're going off the grid for a week alone. :)

Unfortunatly you can't do anything about this type of situation if her mind is set. If you have already told her your opinion on her decision, which I'm guessing you have. Just do your best to get through it and let her know you will always love her but that does not mean you support her decisions.
My heavenly father has not liked some of the decisions I have made but he loves me unconditionally, but some of my decisions have ultimatly brought pain into my life.

Sounds like the same situation I was in when my oldest daughter got married the first time, and it turned out just like I thought it would.
10 years later she got it right and picked a good one

Future Sil is a good kid, but zero common sense. :( "Didn't you check to make sure the door was unlock before you went out and lock yourself out?"

Well a good kid is a start:yes: if he treats her well common sense may come as he grows up... maybe one of us old timers will develop an App for it...

If you like the Groom then there is no problem, just grin and bare it. If you don't like the Groom and his family :hair::headbang:. Disputes between In-laws ruin many a marriage. Just love your daughter and trust her judgement. Good Luck!

Well, I still have a ways until my daughter will be old enough to contemplate marriage, but I've seen this scenario played out before and the best advice I can offer is to do your best to keep it amicable, respect your daughters affection to her husband-to-be, and be very supportive of her.

You'll be a hero in her eyes and you'll earn the respect of everyone involved......and that's the stuff that'll be remembered!!
