Hey clemsonfor I just thought I would shoot a pic of the trailer I put the winch on. I made the platform for the winch to sit above the spare tire.

I wasn't the operator, he wasn't sure how. My guess is hoe was hooked to root and the tractor moved backwards while hooked. Only a guess no other logical explanation.

That would work great if I had a 30' ladder... No limbs in throwing distance. It was luck that I got the 044 power head off in time so it didn't get crushed when the tree spun as it fell.

Wedges were in the truck 400' away by the time I saw I needed them it was too late and had to pull the power head before the tree fell. It's a real experience taking bar nuts off upside down with your head right next to the popping face cut!!

Tonight: beauty queen 372xp and a not so pretty 372xp... And new av all the way around on a non-mtronic 441. If I'm lucky I'll get to my truck and car work by the end of the week. But probably not with work to be done clearing and grinding some stumps for shop roof extension project.

I only put the cable about 6 ft up. When they are cut that far thru they pull over real easy. I have never crushed a power head.

    Had a customer come in...

This saw runs like sh**! He says to me. Well I tached it in the cut at 6300-6800 rpm! LOL!!!! Leaned his saw out to 9600-9800 rpm and told him to use synthetic oil at 40:1 and cut away!

Got this onto the bench last night. Got new OEM crank and a hyway 372bbk with Cabers and Nachi bearings. It also got a scrub down in my new (to me) parts washer that I finally got enough fluid for. 15gal of petroleum based cleaner is expensive! Thank god I have a good way to clean saws now!

I decided to convert an old spark plug over today for pressure testing crank cases. Knocked all the porcelain out with the electrode and then threaded in a brass fitting. Used some JBL to seal it up. Should be ready for use tomorrow.
