Hi peeps long time no see! Getting my shyte together here for the heating season and boy did I get an eye opener when I saw Home Depot in Bellingham MA ask for $269 for a ton of Stove Chow, and the pellet place down the street (SSWP) everything is over $300 a ton. Wtf. Oil is down so this turkey may not be burning pellets at all! Welcome bogieb, 30 years on two wheels and still not ready for geezer glide but never miss an opp to post my bike.
Welcome back xena, Glad to see you again. How's the Jeep and did you got some fishing in this summer?
Hi you guys. Jeep is still chuggin along. Jay did a little fishing but the humidity ugggh...really looking forward to the Fall bass bite!
Gentlemen (and ladys) today my local home depot had half of there stock missing from this weekend. Looks like these few cold mornings have woken people up and the stock is moving
Not around here. One HD has maintained about 1050 tons and the other one has their inventory slowly creeping up, around 950 tons.
Nice clean ride Xena !! I hear ya , pellets are up so we are filling the oil tank and may be burning a little less this year. I did grab a few tons under $260 so definitely not going back to 100% oil. Between fall work around the house, last few weekends to get a ride in and hunting season, don't know if I can get some fall bass fishing in. Hope you and JT can. Schoondog
You can bank on that. We "will" get some in. The big ones like to fatten up before the cold weather sets in. Usually get some good bites and the foliage is a plus. We won't put it away until the night temps drop below freezing and we have all weather gear to stay warm. We almost made it to Nov 1st last season. An early snow rushed us into winterizing and bring out the winter cover. We used to keep it ready to go until Thanksgiving. But the last few winters have started a bit early.
To each their own style - yours is sharp, I really like the color. I like being comfy on long rides - especially multi-day rides. And hey, this 115# geezer can back up a 900 pound bike (probably more than that with my saddlebags and luggage packed) - uphill. I've seen many a young whippersnapper need help to back up their 500# bike that were sitting right next to mine.
What the hey, here is a pic of my '06 SG packed up during a 5 day ride. Only done short rides (2 days) with my current bike. Hoping my schedule next summer isn't so hectic and I can do more long distance stuff - then I'll have pics of some packing on my new (to me) bike.
Short to me is heading over to Bentley's for the breakfast buffet.. Been there? Popular/fun place for bike people... Dan
That was one of the places the group spent the night during the trip that the picture was taken. I'm sure it was great for those who party, or at least like to be sociable. I ate then went to the trailer to read on my Kindle until time for bed.
I took a spin through the 1050 HD parking lot. 1136 now BTW. They received a few more truckloads last week, and continue to push further out into the parking lot with them. Seems they are getting all chows and FSUs these days.
