    My neighbor just got home from working the 140,000 acre Rough fire near Fresno, Ca. He has a mobile fire line saw shop. Sells and repairs Stihl saws as well as sharpens chains. 003.JPG

    Looks like he also collects arrowheads. Nice collection.

    I'll bet they kept him busy on the fire line.

    He cuts firewood too, he really has the orders now, after being on the fire so long. I told him I'd help him get caught up, he'll cut 2 and a half cord a day. I love to cut wood with him! it's hard for me to keep up , but it's sure FUN trying!---- He really makes the big $$ on those kind of fires... Hey how are you doing now? 100% yet?-------I hope so.

    I got that gun 2 weeks ago, I got it where it'll fire OKAY at best, more of a wall hanger than a shooter. It's a Stevens model 44 falling block .25-.20, I got it with 5 other guns.:rootintootin:

    Are you talking about what appears to be a print of projectile points on the wall? Or maybe some unidentified rocks on the table?
    Wish I could find some....

    You're right about the print...But I do collect things. I would like to find just one Clovis point before I finish out my time here.

    He goes where they call him to go, he's just taking care of business. I don't think that he has any control over how big a fire gets....... I do know what you are saying and I've seen it around here with the fires, I think things are so broken right now that there is no way to fix the problem. It's all about the money.......Everyone is scratching each others back for it.... am I jaded?=HELL YES! FOR SURE!

    I appreciate that Bert, I really do.
    I'm certain your friend has no input as to strategy when it comes to fire containment. He may even have pricing guidelines he has to follow to submit for sub-contractor consideration. I don't know.
    Without going into forbidden territory, I'll agree our Federal system is broken and needs a major overhaul.

    Not there yet but getting a bit better. See the doc tomorrow and will definitely ask why I still have pain from this thing. It's been 3 months already. I should be able to do almost anything...
