Eaton's Department store in Canada brand. The saw is a Homelite XL-1. The chain brakes are rather rare. I think the guy cut one time with it and shelved it. I also bought a new ungassed Pioneer P 25 for a friend from the seller.

Just acquired this project. Looks like it only got a couple hours' use before someone scored the piston. A few parts have been robbed over the years that it must've been sitting on a shelf, but nothing major. Still glossy under the dust, and it even came with a near-new 24" B&C.

Thanks, Dex. Looks like the cylinder will clean up. Beyond that, it's just a shopping list.

Has anyone dabbled with making carbon fiber chainsaw parts?

Dennis at DChotsaws. One he built a few years ago for STS competitor TJ.

I used to know all the specs of the weight saved from the real carbon fiber parts used. But cant remember.
