Not yet, but yesterday mama was complaining about being cold. Like I read somewheres on the forum, "if mama ain't happy, then ain't nobody happy". Might need to break the October 1st rule soon. It was down around 40 this morning. I really look forward to the first fire of the fall. Nothing like wood heat. That's my story and I'm stickin to it.
I really love the fall season but I hate the leaves, trees trees everywhere all around, too many trees
The bad thing is all the big trees are healthy and they're not even on my property, I only have 4 trees on my property
Yes, unfortunately, I know it's coming sooner rather than later. The thing is, I really like fall, I'm just not overly fond of what comes after.
I can wait! it was 72 this morning and in the 80's this afternoon. Still too warm out to do much of anything.
Oh, neighbors may not like you if you made firewood out of their trees. One good thing is , leaves make good compost Up to 47° here
Almost. Might need an ark soon. Rain let up today, got some outside chores done. Still cloudy, Weather to be clearer & colder starting Sat. Freezing temps at night & possible snow Fall almost over here , Winter is just around the corner.
Only rule I have to follow is when it gets cold enough outside that the house stays cold, the fire gets lit. The HEAT pump is for air ONLY. Not heat. And, if the over night lows get any lower than they were last week, that time is at hand. Woke up to a 68 degree house all last week. That made for a brisk exit from the shower every morning. I don't like early morning brisk shower exits. God Bless
So, does the bike get put away until Spring now? Do you have an indoor trainer you can set it on? I'll probably set my bike on the trainer soon as I think I might be able to start peddling easy before too long. Then maybe by Spring I can ride again. Getting ready for hunting now.
Will ride if time & weather permit . After moose season & between wood gathering. May have to buy studded tires for it, looks like we may be in for several white winter days . :-(
