Caffeine time. Looks like temps will warm back up a little this week. I think I will hold off on starting the boiler for a while longer. Maybe until Oct. one. Starting to get a little anxious about getting a fire going though. It has been a long time now. Sometime in April I guess?o_O

They were a weird family. Even the kids were a little loose around the edges

Picked the garden. Mowed grass. Changed oil. Made bacon. Cooked dinner. Not a bad day.

I brought in two sleds of pallet cut-offs to make a jenga stack. Truck to sled to stack. This is going to work real well. The stack is high enough for the wheelbarrow to work at a good height for the rest.

I think two good trips will fill this rack.

Yah, good shoulder season wood. When the bin is empty, the good stuff takes its place.

The finals tonight of American Ninja Warrior. Won't be many who can make it through stage two. Out of 100 competitors I believe 28 or 29 made it through stage one. The most ever. There are four stages. If you make it through all four stages you win a cool million. No one has ever won.

Not bad. A good number of the competitors through to stage three. My bet. No one makes it through three.

:( Lil one was moved up in preschool (birthday falls near kindergarten requirements so she could go either way)... and working on adjusting.

New class, new teacher, and left peers of 2 years behind. Her old class had naps, there are not naps in her new class.

Tonight she took a very late nap, slammed 1/2 my Ensure power drink and water and some dinner and is falling asleep on couch again after a tough day.

My choices are to keep her where she is 6 months ahead grade wise, or move her back to her old class or 6 months behind of her age. I hate seeing her miserable like this :hair:

Our oldest quit having naps at 18 months when her sister arrived. The first of week of kindergarten I thought she was sick as she came home and immediately went to bed for a nap in the afternoon. Kindergarten was half days then. It took about two weeks and then she was up and at'em all day again. It is a period of adjustment that she will work through. Our oldest was always the youngest in the class as her birthday was in Dec. but that didn't ever seem to stop her. Our youngest was always one of the older ones in class as she was born in April. She was really prepared for school as her older sister had been teaching her for a year before she went. It is a hard decision to make. Can you hold off for a week before really making a decision?

I can hold off indefinately, kindergarten starts in Aug next year. And to put things in prespective, she has only been there one day per week since the change a couple weeks ago (changed classes on a fri, then gold hunting vacation, then Labor Day and cld virus last week). I will give it more time Woodwidow . Thank you :)

Wow. Stayed up to watch it all last night. Two made it through stage three. And BOTH made it through stage four! The fastest one won a million bucks!!!!!!!

If you guys can find any of it on you tube it is something to see them get through any of the stages. But to get through stage three and four is really amazing.

Caffeine in and wife and kids fed. Time to get ready for work.

After splainin' to the dump boss today that I had an old laptop that had seen better days after therapy class (he was looking at it), he grinned and said no problem, just put it over by the recycled TVs and computers. So I did. Good thing I dusted it off first... ;)
