Put them on last night, along with a four way wedge. Was only drilled for one log catcher, bottom two holes worked for both. I had to modify the second log catcher.
[QUTE="Fanatical1, post: 358497, member: 805"]WV, still don't see the "dent"? [/QUOTE] It's there my friend look harder. Lol... Not a big dent, but a dent.
I'm not sure I want one on the front , how do ya like it ? Might get in the way for me at my height, but maybe not for a taller person
I am 6' tall, I liked it alot after using it today. It came in handy, glad I got them and the four way, sped things up a little.
Way to go Tom!!!!! Me and Dad got roughly two cords, or a bit more, from the mill today. All green and will be next year stuff. We got started right at dawn and finished about 1. Put the big 385 XP to noodling them into quarters that could be handled. And, it sure was DANG hot. We drank a half a case of water. Lot's of water returned to the earth off our brows. Take it from a guy who has seen the pile in person, he has put quite a dent in it. A lot of time been spent right there this summer for Ole Tom. Dang man, that's hard in winter. Real hard in summer heat to accomplish what you have done. Good job bud. God Bless
When ya get a chance , could you take some pics of how you mounted the front catcher ? I just don't like bending down pickin wood up off the ground , that I already picked up once
Sure will do. Basically like I said on the bottom holes used same bolt for both catchers. The top hole on front catcher was not there, so instead I just did a little hammer work, hit it with a grinder and put a little weld on it. The other option is to drill and tap holes on that side like the other side.
Been raining here for the last 3 days ( we needed it bad) and it finally quit this morning. I went down and cut for a couple hours, ran a tank of fuel through each of my saws basically. This is what got cut and piled up ready to split, plus a little more that you can't see from last weekend. Only about 58 degrees here today, nice day to work at it a little bit more.
Well got about another cord cut, split and loaded on the trailer out of the log pile this morning. Only got to work about 2.5 hours, had other stufff I had to get done, plus started getting hot. Made a nice load of Oak, Hickory, and Locust. Get some more done tomorrow.
Great looking wood you have there. Love seeing pics. It should be a requirement on here even if your posting how much you hate your mother law every thread should have a pic
This is the fruits of my weekends work, besides checking some treestands anddoing a little brush hogging.
