Well it's been a good day. Split a little bit of wood this morning. Cut 7 lbs of Okra, froze 2 lbs and sold 5 lbs. Then retarped the chicken coup with a $2.57 tarp from HF... Covered 9 cords of wood in anticipation of the rain tomorrow. Now its beer thirty...

At the risk of sounding like a northerner... what is okra? Comparable to anything? How do you prepare it?

Getting ready for bed. Odd day of doing little bits here and there. Should have been out weeding but played on FHC and in sewing room instead. I think it is going to rain tomorrow so more sewing room time, I hope.

Yes they do. Same day we do.

Some of their holidays end up being on a different day, like Friday to our Monday. But this one is the same. They have more Holidays than we do as well. I think we should bring our numbers up to theirs. We all need more days off from work.

Got my hardwood floor down in the foyer yesterday. Today I'm gonna try and hang the closet door and install a closet shelf and closet pole. This is the last week I have to get things done in preperation of the 82 yr coming here. Da clock is ticking.

Yes. It is very strongly built. The tines are made from 2x3x1/4" wall tubing. The cross bracing is made from 2x2x1/4" wall tubing. In my case I am trying to not disturb the roots of the remaining trees. But I have already used it to dig out full stumps or dead trees! LOFL Push the dead tree over and break it off, then get into the ground and a little under the roots and with the tines lift and push. Works nicely.

As Gasifier said, yes we do. Our Thanksgiving is a month earlier than yours - the second Monday in October. It once was celebrated on the same day as Armistice Day but was changed in 1931. We only have two months without a statutory holiday. March or April depending on Easter and June don't have a country wide holiday. there is Spring Break in March but that only affects schools and school districts that do it. Sometimes it is a week and for others it is two weeks.

It is dark outside and I am getting ready for my walk. Gotta get psyched up for it as I was getting too used to walking in the morning sunrise. Not until next spring will that happen. Supposed to rain today so I better get myself in gear and get going. How can you tell I'm procrastinating?

The daylight is fading fast, it's more noticeable with my 7on/7off schedule. Going back tomorrow each week I need my headlights more.
Won't be long before I'm driving to work in the dark and home in the dark

I helped my buddy on his Tribute tear down and stone replacements yesterday. We checked all the air paths and reset the secondary air manifold back in place when done. We even popped the top stones on the lid and reset them. It was a 3 hour job start to finish. Everything got vacuumed out. All the stones and splines were cleaned of refractory cement and reset. I'm glad it is done and it should run great this season.
