Just FMI, when you upload a pic, how do you upload multiple pics. And, when you upload a pic, does your upload screen just go off when it is ready to post. On the pic it worked, I thought I uploaded 4 pics, when it clicked off it showed that one but, none of the others that were good pics of the spltter. Now, it is just going away again and it doesn't post the pic. Am I doing something wrong?

do you suppose there's something inherent to scots-irish ancestry to where you will eventually have to be in the driveway dripping hydraulic oil? you have to watch the box stores, they are always multi tasking and distracted and need their work checked.
tell you what the amount of wood you process is too much for me to do WITH a splitter. i have to process a couple of cords a year with hand tools and it's a fun hobby.

    Nice splitter.
Something like that I would prefer to put together myself. That way you know everything is tight and if it's not you only have yourself to blame. When I got my Troy-bilt tiller years ago it came in a crate and I had to put it together and loved every minute of it.

I tell you what, I'm figuring this thing out. Yesterday, I was splitting mostly for my dad. I went through it like butter. Added up quick because of the length and width his stove uses. Today, I split for my stove. Which is a top feed warm Morning 521. Takes small, short wood. It was taking forever. I finally decided to take that big 385 and noodle the logs in to halves. Boy it sped up after that. Not near as much handling either. So, if any of you fellas have to cut small wood, get you a bigger saw and noodle the rounds into half's. It's 'da bomb.

Up until two years ago, I'd yearly burn my shed full and, most of two ricks roughly 20-22 feet long about 4 feet high, stacked up along the bottom side foundation of my house. My shed was 12 by 12. I stacked it to 7' high or so. It was a LOT of wood. As some demand left, other demand has come. I have always had help from my dad and his brothers. But, they aren't spring chickens anymore. The youngest is 55. Plus, wood to cut is getting hard to find outside of logging butts.

You do what you gotta do but, it dang sure took a lot of time. And, is coming around again to be just as busy. It'll be a lot easier now though!!!!!!!!!! Headed to the sawmill at dawn to process all the buttoffs that have piled up. Should be 5 or 6 truck loads quartered up. A good start on next year for my dad. I actually really enjoy cutting wood too.

    Thanks TOM!!!!!!

    God Bless men.
