I'm getting old. I just commented on Dennis' thread that you visited. Last time I remember I thought you bought an older model chevy to use as a parts truck to fix up your existing chevy. I thought that was your wood hauler??

I still have the old girl! The parts truck was gutted and body sold in spring. We also have two trailers and an s10 and s10 blazer. Im a bit overkill on vehicles around here.

Is that a bunch of wood chips from a stump grinder?

Will the 2wd get 'er done up there? Looks too clean from here, maybe another dent or two needed?

Yup ton o wood chips.... the truck is setup with a really nice factory tow kit and pulls great. It is a dream to drive. I traded in my mind 4*4 for the tow kit and am actaully not disappointed at all. ( until I get stuck...) lol it is virtually rust free and has 156000 miles on it doesnt leak a drop and doesnt have any lights on. Was a good buy that I couldnt pass up.

Nice Pete! That'll haul some good loads. Don't forget the #1 rule having a truck. Only wash it once a year!

Thanks guys!! I love my old 86k15 but its getting time to upgrade the old girl. I couldnt believe how much trucks are going for in these parts now. I paid $3000 for a really nice condition 2wd but if that had been 4*4 and no tow package with rust I was looking at $6000 to $7000.

When my buddies and I go to the woods there is always a 4*4 in the group and usually we go on a sunny day with hard ground so I am not worried about getting stuck.

The advantage to this truck is the milage is really good so we can take it on long road trips in comfort. The misses is really overjoyed about it and It fits in the garage with room to spare. The k15 barely fits.... I mean 2 inches in front and one in back to the work bench and boxes. You gotta have an escape plan to get out of the garage once its shut off lol.

    Pete,
Now we get the real reason you got the truck. "When momma's happy everybody is happy".

No, really all your reasons make sense and that is why I am on the look out for another truck just like that one.
