Hard to believe, but it is all but on us. Here is a link to leaf peeping in Maine: http://www.maine.gov/dacf/mfs/projects/fall_foliage/index.shtml
Nice post. Looking forward to a normal, colorful fall this year. And the reason I say that is, the news was reporting that dry conditions in our area may turn the leaves to a dry brown color and they may fall early.
Wowzers. We had a few leaves that look like those come down in the storm that passed through yesterday. Is that pic from a drone?
Awesome pic. 'Round here, there are some tracks of certain kinds of maples that when the sun hits 'em just right - they are so brilliant that you can hardly look straight at them. The fall smell, cooler air and ripe pumpkins are just around the corner. I love autumn.
I too love autumn. We've had a lot of trees with leaf turning. I love the soft maples this time of the year. Some will have only one branch that has turned but it will be bright red. Sumac is nice in spots now too. Lots of yellow leaf. Quite a bit of leaf drop too already. Not many cherry leaves left.
