HDRock Did they have a stove like that in your schoolhouse, growing up? Slate and chalk style stuff......
radiators yep when they built the new place, slate boards yep, only tablets were of paper and you made marks on the paper with a wooden stick with charcoal in it. and yep we walked to and from. Everyday started with the pledge of allegiance, prayer at lunch- brown bag or metal can( if you were better off) memorize the Constitution (the whole thing) and this was a public school. ( little derailment here sorry just got reminiscing)
