    She wanted to clear a small area near where she plans to put up a greenhouse.
    Found a couple apple trees (no pics), and this one which looks like some kind of cherry. Chokecherry maybe?

    Well, it wasn't very tasty, I can tell you that.:heidi:
    Unripe, and small. I told my SIL to keep an eye on me to see if I started acting weird........er.:)

    Forgot to mention......she loses a chicken every once in a while and she lost another about 4 a.m. that morning.
    I happened to be the lucky one to find it........well, I found the head.......then, I found the body. About 30 feet away, intact.
    Still not sure how the predator got it out of the fence. She has criss crossed string across the top bars.

    Would a hawk land, then go into the enclosure and haul out the chicken? Then decapitate?
    We gave her our old chain link 10x10x6' high dog enclosure and she put string across the top all criss crossed. A couple of the corners and the door/gate have larger gaps than I'd like, so maybe it went in through one of those.

    Yes, they do that Dave. We've lost several chickens to hawks so we've seen it over and over.
