In good strong running condition - good compression etc,missing/faded paint isn't an issue cause that can be taken care of if I choose anytime.
Just no missing or broken parts, everything should work as expected.Prefer full wrap handlebar, dont recall seeing any without one actually.

PM me 2-3 clear photos & your price + shipping to zip 50312.

I may have a 5200 for you. That's if I can convince myself to part with it. It's my only running green 5200 right now. I have a red Craftsman 5.2 (not for sale) and an 8500 (also not for sale)....

Not a looker, but a good runner. Probably could use seals, fuel lines, and a carb kit (I could of course take care of that before sending it away depending on the deal). Has a half-wrap. I could use a few more full-wraps for this series myself. Got a buncha 5200 parts to build into a few more runners (will likely build a couple for sale and go whole-hog on a repaint on the last one for me)..............but no more full-wraps. The full-wraps on my 8500 and Craftsman 5.2 are a stayin'.

Will send you some pics this weekend if I don't get a case of "dammit I ain't sellin' it" CAD fever....

Check with Guido. I think he may have one he would part with.

I'm sorry. I haven't done anything with the 5200 that I mentioned other than move it so I could grab a saw that I needed to use. Been super busy.

I'll check the compression on that 5200 and shoot a few pics (including one or two of the piston through the ex port) this weekend. Remind me if I don't get back to you by Sunday night....

Went through the 5200 this weekend. It's unfortunately a parts saw. Cases are in bad shape (a broken section, stripped screw holes). Covers all need replacing. Rear tank/handle has an issue with the trigger/throttle lock. Compression is low due to worn rings. I wouldn't feel comfortable selling it as a runner (even though it does run).

I now solidly have enough parts to build a good 2-3 5200's, but won't have the time to do anything with all of it for several months. Too many projects ahead of it, and too many other things going on (taking care of family, busy time at work, house renovation at home, and helping a friend clear a property for putting up a new house to name a few things). I'm sorry to have strung you along so long with the prospect of a good 5200...

No problem. I'm a patient man,I'll wait/watch for another one in better shape.

I waited almost 15 years before finding a SP125 that wasn't either a total basket case/box of parts or a super expensive original or totally restored one.Just needed a repaint,a few NOS/good used parts, some tinkering & ended up with an easy project that performs like new, looks great & one I'm not afraid to really put to work when its called for....

Dang you must want one bad to bid that. I wish I had one to unload on you for about half that price.

I will keep a eye out for you. But most I see around here is 4200 etc and Gary usually scoops in to get them when I pass on them and let folks know about them.
One was a 4200 with 2 bars for $130. Gary got it though because I dont do this series of saws and past.

Despite the seller claiming that 4200 was a runner, the bearings were bad. I put it on the shelf and ran the 28" bar on another saw.

I wish the last 2 in the series I like was just bad crank bearings. But they both had bad big end rod bearings wasted and I was told they checked out.
