yes, my place and two neighbors ,we will work together on it but storage space is getting scarce, there's no place to put it,i guess there's worse problems to have i just couldn't let this get awayand if anyone is curious this removal cost 5000.00 i was guessing 3500 , wrong again.

Is the big log still pretty sound? I recently took two, 42" diameter, 11 foot sections of Red Oak to a local sawmill to see if they were interested in buying them. They said they would, and cut me a check for $472 I cut up the top for firewood

Maybe there was a crane involved in that removal. Lots of small yahds here in Ma that could have required piecing it down. I've seen trees cut into sections and lifted over houses around here.
the homeowner said they counted 83 rings , he wants me to cut him a disk ,i will but warned him it will check and told him about a sealer he could try to use to stabilize it ,least i can do right?
Whewwee that sucker is huge! There's a few btu's in there id say. Dad and I went after a trunk about that size over the weekend but ended up not getting it (long story)
