Big red oak

    Couple weeks ago some strong straight line winds took down a big red out that measured 51 inches on the stump. Finally got a couple of pics. This came down at a friends home. His saw is sporting a 20 inch bar. It is a Husky but can't remember the model. Bit rotten at the base. DSC01505.JPG DSC01506.JPG

    Friend got a bunch of maple down courtesy of the big wind. He has an OWB so he will use all of it.

    He takes it all. I have more than I can ever use. He does come over once in awhile to give me hand. He's a good friend and we help each other just because.

    bogydave My little fireplace insert can only eat so much wood in a year, I am working on additional storage areas for split wood. Wood shed is full and I have lots of downed oak and standing dead elm.:saw::axe:
