After work today I split three more loads into the ranger and filled the shed. It was my goal to have that sucker filled before bow season starts in three weeks. The section on the left is mostly this winter's wood and holds roughly 10 cord while the right side holds 6 (room for the splitter at the very end).
It was a great feeling throwing that last split on the stack. Now I can start focusing on filling the freezer!

That's a lot of sweat, aches and pains. Impressive. Good luck filling the freezer.

It's gonna sit there until cooler weather haha! Then as I split I'll stack it on 5x10 skids until there's room in the shed for it.
lots of practice with stacks falling over in previous years. :emb::rofl:

Smokin, it sounds like season opens a bit earlier there than here. We wait until October 1. Had a nice treat this morning as some of the local fellas hung around the house for a bit. Two of them were small; 4 pt and 6 pt with the other being better. I think they were teasing me.

Fall bow opens on September 12th in my zone. I try to wait for cooler mornings or evenings before I hit the woods. I can deal with the skeeters but sweat and skeeters is no fun! They never seem to hang around my place. Maybe they can sense im sizing them up?
