We took down a big spruce that was growing too close to our camp this weekend. We wanted to minimize the amount of brush dragging and the fire was already burning so it was pretty easy to figure on where to drop it. It did get a little warm limbing it. It was a nice log. Too bad it is going to be burnt. I couldn't get the loggers to take it when we did some logging a few years back. They didn't want to work near a building. We determined that spruce has more water in the sapwood.
Thats a funny tree drop. Ive never cut or burned spruce, but like any other kind of wood it will work for campwood
