Between rain & fishing & garden & stuff,
I got a chance to add a few more loads into the 17/18 shed.

    Thanks all
Near 2 cord left to move,
hopefully all will be moved in the next few days if the rain holds off.

To be an "El Niño" winter.
Never know what we'll get from it, maybe lots of snow  :) :)

Summer broke some high temp records, most days over 70° & 80°.
No snow in the local mts, that's rare.
Still almost too warm to move wood but the August rains are here.

    Thanks.
    LOL, made me laugh.
1st load started bowing the axle & the tires were rubbing the trailer sides, so I reduced the load size :)
The splits are still pretty heavy, but much lighter than when green.

It has 2 full years to finish seasoning in the shed.
In 2 more years it will be good & dry next to impossible to overload the trailer when headed to the woodbox.

August or not, time to get it done. Soon will be wood cutting time up there and moose season can't be that far away either. In addition, soon there is bound to be some white on those mountains. Seems it was around this time of year we were in Alaska many moons ago and saw snow as we headed NE out of Palmer.

Around here it is reminding us of fall more and more with leaves turning (not many yet but started), leaves falling and cooler temperatures. Warm today at 79 and supposed to be warm again tomorrow then in the 60's for a couple days. Mornings will begin very soon to be cooler and cooler. Dew is staying on longer in the mornings too. Things are ripening. In fact, I saw some navy beans almost ready to combine this week. Yes, fall is near! I'm ready.

Looks like there will be no bike riding at all for me this year but I may set up the trainer in the house very soon. Judy may have to help get one of my feet clipped in but if I can force it, the movement may do the hip good. But then for sure I'll want to be outdoors but it will be too cold no doubt by that time. I am not a cold weather rider when it comes to the bike. I'll wait for next April to be outdoors on it.

How many miles have you accumulated on your bike this year so far?

That little trailer has been working hard for ya
Two more years and the wood will heat you a second time.
You got the stove and pipe all cleaned up?

    Good reminder

    No, not since Jan.
Wife just said we'd be having a morning fire soon, mid 40°s at night now.
Need to get it cleaned & checked out.

2200 miles so far this year.
Got a new flat-bar road bike Monday. Been so busy only got 20 miles on it.
Chomping at the bit to get some rides in before it turns cold.

Moose season starts the 25th of Aug.
This is the busiest time of the year for me, garden stuff & fish for the freezer takes a lot of time. Just got 30 lbs of halibut in the freezer.
Yard maintenance, some leaves are dropping but no frost yet.
    Fire wood to the shed.
    Prep for hunting season.

Forecast was for 70°, got partly cloudy & only got to 66°.

That all sounds great Dave. I had forgotten when moose season started. I'd still like to get a good bull before I'm over the hill. Not sure it will happen though.

Wish I could match you on the miles. Next year.... 68 and rain here.
