I gots to be more careful and specific! I gots a pair of binoculars he can barrow!! Geez, I need another brew!!
They are too...but not all pellets we sell in New England or the northeast may come from Upton....that was my point.
If there is a manufacturing/bagging problem we stand behind our product 100%....but the fact you don't like the pellet or you think its not as good as you thought it was going to be is not a reason for us to refund your purchase....not sure I know of any pellet manufacture that will do that.....
Ok...so other than just plain curiousity, why does it matter what pellet would come out of Upton?....... and to sorta answer your question, there are some that have tried to bag some brands there and some have just used it as a shipping point, another words, pre=bagged product is shipped there. It is not my place to disclose what other wholesalers/manufactures/trucking companies do...you would need to ask them if they want that made public.
Understand. But what if the ash level is a lot more than printed on the bag, or if they produce huge clinkers. Is the buyer SOL?
i scanned the barcode and it pulled up some pics on the web, they looked like salt&pepper.......these are all blonde i'll post some pics later, the ones on here in the review section looked like s&p too.
Do you believe yourself or is your memory terrible? There were members of this forum that did not have good experiences with your Golds in particular.
I don't know ,he hasn't been around in a while ,might hear from him when heating season starts up again .
I think you are referring to the fines/dust issue when we first started bagging a Upton....if so, then we did do some refunds to some of the dealers that it was a problem for....but it was much smaller than some would like to believe. We also fixed the problem pretty quickly and since then, any problems have been small. I get it that maybe not everyone thinks some of our pellets are not as good as __________ (fill in the blank with your favorite pellet), but that doesn't make them a bad pellet. You go to the store and buy a tub of vanilla ice cream only to find out when you got home, that you don't like vanilla ice cream. That certainly doesn't mean that manufacture of that brand of vanilla ice cream makes a bad product. There are hundreds of types of stoves, different sizes of homes to heat, different insulation situations and everyone has their likes and dislikes. We have been selling in NE for 7 years now, and over 2 years with our Gold and Douglas Fir brands, which represent 10'000's of thousands of tons of pellets sold and burnt over that period of time....with triple digit growth in the last few years, so somebody likes them. I like diet Coke...you might like diet Pepsi...doesn't mean that either one is a problem just cause you or I prefer the other brand. There isn't a single manufacture that hasn't had an issue at one time or the other...if it is something that can be fixed, they probably jump right on it and do it, but sometimes its not a fixable issue....case in point, some don't like the smell of our Platinums at time ....nothing I or anyone else can do about that...that is determined by Mother Nature.....now if you are referring to length, dust, mositure, bagging, pallet cover, pallet etc, that can be addressed.......and as I have said many times....there is no such thing as a perfect pellet..... If someone has a problem with our pellets, we will work with the dealer to determine if it is a legitimate issue and if so, will work with them to fix it and try and make it right. I don't think we are any different in that regard to any other manufacture. Nobody wants to put out a bad product on purpose.
