I've been running 100,000 tons of 100% SYP in VA for 4 years ( yes you never have to be concerned what plant Easy Blaze came from). From time to time we see pellets darker but not caused by dryer issues, we have 4 rotary dryers but do to die compression issues. To pelletize SYP you need to dry down to 9-9.5% prior to pelletizing while runnimg 3" compression zone. If you try to run to long in between die refurbishment or replacement you end up "cooking" the wood and it turns dark and shiny. As Doug said, this has little to no impact on quality just doesn't smell as good and is a sure sign your die will fail soon.....

Steve, just wondering, and maybe I missed it, but is any of your product out there under a different name?

Bridgewell 40# and 33# product 100% SYP (yellow bag) last year and a small amount earlier this year. However, they may have other brands made else where. I don't plan to produce anymore for them.

FYI - We worked with Cargil and developed a high performance cat litter, EasyAbsorb and horse bedding pellet, finalizing a horse bedding mini flake packaging line. Check out our website www.easypelletproducts.com

My blend rolled out end of May and will only be represented and sold by WFD. The hardwood is predominantly white and red oak from a local saw mill and is 70% of my current sales. Whether it's the Blend or Super Premium the product never goes outside until it's shipped. Helps when you have 300,000 sq. ft of warehouse.

Wow. I don't know if I could cope with that schedule. What time do you arrive at work and leave for the day to go home?
